OMS Australia Prayer Requests
October 1-7, 2008
AUSTRALIA—Pray for Nicci Clavill, the OMS Australia accountant, who is undergoing chemo and will also have surgery. OMS Australia is in desperate need for some help in the head office with recruiting and administration inquiries. Pray that God will bless the promotional material that has gone out to the churches.
Sept 17th-23, 2008
AUSTRALIA—Pray for quick recovery and no complications from operations for John Davis, the short-term missions co-coordinator. He is recovering from a fall when a trailer fell on him, breaking his leg in two places.
Uplift Mark and Cheryl Wilson, preparing for a short-term trip to Fiji in September.
Ask the Lord to give OMS open doors in churches throughout Australia.
August 20th-26th, 2008
AUSTRALIA—Ray and Lauren Airosa, new Australian directors, have had a rough week. First, doctors thought that their one-year-old son, Matteo, had a tumor behind his eye. He had investigative surgery which revealed no tumor. But they did discover that his retina is completely damaged, so he has no sight in his left eye. They were encouraged to learn that this should not keep him from living a normal life. Do continue to pray for little Matteo and his family.
August 13-19th, 2008
AUSTRALIA—Praise God for the volunteers added to the homeland ministries. Pray for more missionary applicants and for openings in churches in Australia for OMS.
Uplift Michelle Taylor, settling into the Australian life.
July 2-8
AUSTRALIA—Praise to God for the smooth transition in leadership and for Billy and Jeane Campbell and the work they did in Australia. Praise God for providing a new director, Ray and Lauren Airosa.
Thank the Lord for those who are going on short-term missions. Pray for someone who can coordinate short-term missions for OMS Australia.
The Australia office needs someone who can do graphics and videos for them. Pray that OMS will be spread throughout the other states and that the prayer initiative for South Pacific will grow. Pray for more missionaries to be sent out from Australia.
