India Prayer Requests
Nov. 19-25, 2008
INDIA—Orissa is the most resistant and hostile state in India as far as the Gospel is concerned. A militant Hindu priest and four of his attendants were gunned down in central Orissa as they were trying to force Christian converts back to Hinduism. Immediately the Christians were blamed and what followed has been the slaughter and burning of dozens of believers. Some Youth With a Mission (YWAM) staff and several of the kids they were ministering to were under siege in one of the YWAM centers. Pray that all will be able to escape unharmed and that these senseless killings will stop.
