Central Asia Prayer Requests

July 30- Aug 6

CENTRAL ASIA—Pray for those who are preparing to go to Central Asia. Pray for their visa, housing, and new ministry. Pray for the young seminary there that is in the midst of obtaining a new license.

Pray for those who are on home assignment, raising their support to return to Central Asia. Pray for the eXtreme Walker who is studying at Asbury Seminary, planning to return to Central Asia after graduation. Pray for the eXtreme Walker who just completed his short-term ministry and will begin seminary at Wesley Biblical Seminary in August. Pray for him to challenge students in Korea at the OMS ministry AIE (Adventures in English) to join eXtreme Walk in Central Asia.

Keep lifting up in prayer the OMS presence in Central Asia so that laws will continue to favor missionary work, and they will be able to continue ministry.

May 14-20, 2008

Recently, much attention has been given to a current religious bill that is being discussed in a Central Asia parliament. The new law, if passed, will severely limit religious activity. Many people are fasting and praying for a good outcome. Please pray for the open door for the Gospel in Central Asia to stay open. There is no date set for a vote on this legislation. A group of protestant Christian leaders are asking for a meeting with parliament members who are working on the law.

May 7-13, 2008

In connection with current investigations of religious organizations, the seminary is currently in legal negotiations. Pray for God’s intervention to keep it open and operating.

Pray for those preparing for an August arrival as interim president of the seminary.

Pray for the South Region churches’ celebration from May 3-5, asking for God’s blessing and encouragement for their lives and ministries.
