MOZAMBIQUE—Classes at Christian Academy in Mozambique (CAM) begin on August 7. We seek your prayers throughout the year as we provide the best Christian education for more than 40 children from K-12. Pray for our new teachers and students to adjust quickly to life at CAM and that our returning students can be a great help and encouragement to the new ones. PTL, most of the security upgrades at CAM are finished or soon will be. We are appreciative of these upgrades as they will provide better security and protection for the students and staff.

Next week, Franz Bense, from South Africa, goes to train 30-40 from our churches in Bible story telling using drama. This is a great opportunity for the Church to reach out to their own members and a unique ministry opportunity for those who don’t know the Lord.

Pray as we prepare for our annual field council meetings from August 15-17. Bruce Bennett, from South Africa, will be joining us as we seek the Lord’s guidance and wisdom for the vision of ministries for next year and beyond.

The ESL program is a wonderful opportunity to reach out to the middle class and give them the opportunity to worship with the Maputo City Church. Classes are finished for now. Pray that the church will capture the vision of carrying on this ministry.

Continue to pray for our national church. The church discipline is still needing review and revision, and it can get discouraging to see it unfinished and not implemented. Pray for peace and wisdom for the OMS team and for the advisors who are providing council to the church leaders to make the document one to lead the church into the future with a strong foundation.

There are still several issues to sort out at our T3 church with the pre-school not receiving its license from the local government offices. Pray that these issues can be resolved quickly and without great expense so the children can return to the school, and the staff can begin teaching and providing for their own families.
