Dr. Wesley L. Duewel celebrated his 2 millionth book in circulation on May 20, 2008, at the OMS International World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. His 10 main books have been translated into 58 different languages, including Korean, Russian, Portuguese, various tribal languages and many others. There are currently 2,006,831 of his books in circulation. Some of his writings talk about prayer, revival and the Holy Spirit. His first book, Touch the World through Prayer has nearly 1,000,000 copies in print. Some of his other books include: Let God Guide You Daily; Ablaze for God; Mighty Prevailing Prayer; Measure Your Life; Revival Fire; God’s Power Is for You; More God, More Power; and Heroes of the Holy Life. He has written around 1,000 poems and is currently working on his autobiography. He has never kept any royalties from his writings. Instead, he started a fund to translate his books for Third World countries. More than $760,000 has been invested into translating and printing. In 1941, Dr. Duewel was an OMS missionary to India where he served for nearly 25 years. While in India he was the principal of Allahabad Bible Seminary, director of the OMS India field and editor of REVIVAL magazine, which was published in 12 languages. When he returned to the States, he was the president of OMS International from 1969-1982, was on the OMS Board of Directors and is now President Emeritus and special assistant to the president for evangelism and intercession. In recognition of his contribution to the Great Commission, in 2007, he received the first ever “Lifetime of Service Award” presented by The Mission Exchange (formerly The Evangelical Fellowship of Mission Agencies) in Dallas, Texas. Thousands of people have been impacted by Dr. Duewel’s writings and work, both overseas and in the United States.
