MOZAMBIQUE—Gabriel Thiessen, two-year-old son of Mike and Sarah, has completed his first round of chemo. The tests in the past few days have gone very well. They are praising the Lord because Gabriel has little or no cancer spread to his lungs as yet. Secondly, Gabriel’s bone scan came back clean, which means no cancer has spread to the bones. These drugs are very powerful and the slightest mistake has consequences. However, our God is big. Nothing is impossible for him. Ask God to overpower the power in these drugs and bring Gabriel back to a state where he can think, play and express himself without feeling scared. Pray for Sarah’s pregnancy. Gabriel has been released from the hospital for three weeks and will then return for another round of chemo. Pray for his recovery.
