Corporate Secretary

A native of upstate New York, Sheila Doty has been a missionary with OMS International since 1973. Working at the mission’s international headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana, Sheila has been a cashier, accounts payable clerk, assistant corporate secretary and vice-president of administration. Since 1986, Sheila has been the corporate secretary. She attends and takes minutes at all Board of Trustees meetings. She is responsible for filing all legal documents required by any governmental agency. She is the custodian of all legal records and the seal of the mission. Sheila also obtains visas for missionaries going overseas and often for constituents going on mission trips

Before coming to OMS, Sheila had secretarial experience and worked in New York. She is a 1965 graduate of Central City Business Institute in Syracuse, New York.

Led to OMS through a Men for Missions witnessing crusade to Haiti in 1968, Sheila has said of her work, “Each position I’ve had at OMS has better equipped me for what I do now. I feel that as I serve faithfully at headquarters, I have had a part in the thousands who have come to know Christ around the world through the efforts of OMS. I want to do all I can to get the missionaries overseas to their ministries.”
