Robert and Maria Luisa Chaves are among the first generation of members of the Unicentro Christian Fellowship Church, a work initiated by Howard and Jan Biddulph in Bogota, Colombia. Robert’s gifts in business and in personal evangelism have made him a perfect fit for what non-Christian Uruguayan professionals most need to see — solid Christians with entrepreneurial expertise and a passion for Christ.

Robert has been contributing with Junior Achievement in a local high school, and exploring avenues for possible business initiatives as a bridge to non-believers. He also coordinates the prayer focus, seeking to motivate and find opportunities for others to participate and grow in prayer for the work and needs of Uruguay. Maria Luisa keeps an active life as a mom, a member of the PTO, Bible studies, helping out with Sunday school for children, also trying to keep up with relationships with other mom’s and spiritually seeking women.
