Missionary Services

Rhonda came to OMS headquarters in 1994 as the recruitment secretary where she served for six years by assisting both short-term and career candidates from their initial inquiry until beginning their chosen ministry. She also helped to coordinate short-term teams and assisted them in their bookkeeping tasks.

Her current assignment is as director of missionary services where she assists missionaries on furlough and new candidates in preparing for their ministry. She prepares prayer cards, missionary profiles and response tools for all OMS missionaries. She also keeps track of meeting reports and church profiles for regional directors and missionaries. Another aspect of Rhonda’s ministries involves participation in prayer teams when possible. She has been blessed to serve on prayer teams to Brazil and Mexico where God is being glorified.

Funding candidates and furloughing missionaries rely on Rhonda as they raise prayer and financial support for their respective ministries. Rhonda makes herself available to all OMS missionaries on a daily basis in order to meet their individual needs, whether they are in the U.S., another of the sending countries, or on the field.

Before joining OMS, Rhonda and her family lived in six different states as Wayne, her husband, pursued a career in the propane business, and Rhonda worked at different secretarial and managerial positions. The Fatum family agrees that God has brought them to Greenwood, Indiana, and Rhonda specifically to OMS.

Wayne and Rhonda both graduated from Georgia College with degrees in music and business management respectively. They have two adult children, Shannon and Brett. The Fatums joyously serve their church as part-time Sunday school discussion leaders, prayer warriors and members of the choir. Rhonda is certified in Stephen ministry in order to better serve OMS missionaries and church members.
