Paul and Dawn Cox

Paul and Dawn Cox

Director of Recruitment

Paul completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M and eventually moved into the world of executive recruiting. In 1998, he moved to Fort Worth, where he started his own recruiting firm. Two years later, he enrolled at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He joined OMS International in 2001 and went to Spain with OMS later that year.

Three months before his arrival in Spain, Paul met his future wife, Dawn. He showed up one day to take a free Spanish class that Dawn was offering. Both Paul and Dawn continue to be amazed at God’s faithfulness, because God had called Dawn to Spain as a missionary in 1992. So, in effect, He joined two hearts together with a call to the same country.

As a college student, Dawn had traveled to Spain to study Spanish as a second language. So moved by the immense need for God’s hope, she returned to the United States with a strong conviction to return to Spain someday. Dawn is a 1993 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in social work. In 1999, she obtained a master’s degree in Spanish from the University of North Texas.

Paul and Dawn ministered as missionaries in Madrid, Spain, for eight years, during which time they worked in English evangelism and church planting. Toward the end of the Cox’s time in Spain, Paul served as ministry field coordinator.

They have two sons, Samuel, age 5, and Benjamin, age 3. Their daughter, Caroline Elizabeth, was born on May 27, 2009.
