Roger and Mary Lou Skinner have been involved in ministry for more than 35 years with OMS International, first serving as field missionaries for more than two decades in Ecuador, South America, and currently as part of the leadership team at the OMS International World Headquarters. 

Roger and Mary Lou lived in Ecuador from 1973 to 1995. First assigned to evangelism and church planting, the Skinners were involved in many aspects of the OMS work in Ecuador. During their 22 years in Guayaquil, Roger directed and taught at the Evangelical Bible Seminary and served as pastor of the Christian Bible Church (OMS Encounter with God). Mary Lou directed and taught in the OMS grade school, helped in church ministries and taught English classes.

Roger and Mary Lou returned to the United States in 1995 and began work at the OMS International World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. Roger served as the director of recruitment for four years and OMS USA executive director for nine years. As of January 1, 2009, he is serving as vice president–at large. Mary Lou works in the Communications Department.

Roger received a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy from Huntington College (now Huntington University), a master of divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and in 2007, an honorary doctor of divinity degree from his alma mater, Huntington University. Mary Lou, also a graduate of Huntington College with a bachelor of science in education, taught third grade for four years prior to their service in Ecuador.

The Skinners have four adult children (Marc, Andrea, Steve and Laura) and six grandchildren.
