Dale and Ruth Hunter

Dale and Ruth HunterAnswering God’s call to full time missions Dale and Ruth Hunter joined OMS in August 1983, at OMS World Headquarters. They are honorary missionaries to Colombia as well.

Dale serves as an assistant in the treasurer’s office. He prepares donor gifts for processing and prepares the bank deposits.

Ruth serves as mailing list manager. She often appears as Happy the Clown when ministering to children in churches, conferences, and camps. Ruth also conducts seminars on presenting missions to children and keeping a year-round missions focus in the church.

After attending Seattle Pacific and Cascade Colleges, Dale pursued a business career. His business experience includes managing his own sporting and hardware store and serving as credit manager for Word Records, Ltd.

Ruth, having met Dale at Cascade College, continued her studies at University of Oregon Medical School of Nursing and Portland State College. Before coming to OMS Ruth served ten years in the personnel and payroll departments of The University of Oregon Medical School.

The Hunters find great satisfaction in knowing God has gifted them for their ministries at OMS Headquarters. Their supportive ministries are essential to those working in OMS fields worldwide.

Dale and Ruth have two children, April and Randy. April and her husband, Jonathan, graduates of Taylor University, live in Camden, NJ. Randy and his wife Abby live in Lexington, KY. Randy is a graduate of Asbury College and is enrolled in a masters program at the University of Kentucky. Dale and Ruth have four grandchildren.

Dale enjoys fishing, hunting, reading, and bird watching. Ruth loves to teach children and do crafts.
