Seminary Professor

Dave and Jen Sherwood, together with their two girls, Lizzy (12) and Madison (7), live in Nicholasville, Kentucky. They have served in pastoral ministry in the Wesleyan and Brethren in Christ denominations in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Virginia and are now members of Church of the Savior, an interdenominational church in Nicholasville.

Dave is currently pursuing a doctor of missiology degree at Asbury Theological Seminary, and Jen works for the University of Kentucky as a targeted assessment specialist in the human services field. Dave earned his bachelor’s degree at United Wesleyan College and his master’s degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Jen holds a bachelor’s degree from Messiah College and a master’s degree from the University of Maryland.

After much prayerful consideration, the Sherwoods applied to OMS because of its strong theological foundation, its interdenominational appeal and the genuine love expressed by its members. The Sherwoods have been accepted to serve in Mexico where Dave will be a seminary professor at SEMBIMEX, the OMS seminary in Mexico City.
