Camp Directors/Church Planters

David and Conce Roof have been serving on the mission field of Brazil since March of 2000. They have worked in various capacities, including camp directors and church planting. Although they enjoy all aspects of their ministry, the apple of their eye has been working with the Jardim Veneza church in Londrina, which they helped start. They look forward to using this experience gained to expand the church planting work into new regions of Brazil.

Conce, a Brazilian, met David while they were both working with Teen Missions International in Brazil. From 1987 to 1991, they led Brazilian and American evangelistic and work teams. They also were involved in an evangelical film ministry. God used this time to lay foundations for the work they are doing today.

David received his associate’s degree from Lincoln Technical Institute in electronics in 1987. He also holds a diploma in Bible and missions from Bible Missionary and Work-Training Center in Merritt Island, Florida. Conce earned a diploma in theology from Instituto Bíblico Graçe in Belém Pará, Brazil, in 1988. She then taught elementary school for four years.

The Roof’s son, Andrew, was born in 1995. He’s fluent in both Portuguese and English. His favorite pass time is playing soccer. He’s played on teams in both Brazil and the United States.
