Vice-President of Development/ECC

Ron and Patty Collins joined OMS International full time in May 2003 to use God’s giftedness to them for His kingdom building and His glory.

Patty taught for 16 years before responding to a call into missions she received in her teen years. She served as a missionary teacher with OMS in Spain from 1987 to 1988 where she received a missionary field education that enabled her to minister with Ron throughout the CoMission years in Russia from 1992 through 1998. God made a perfect match. Patty’s field experience and teaching credentials paired with Ron’s business experience in management, contract negotiations and development allowed them the experience of living on the “cutting edge” as OMS was recognized as THE sending organization among 85 participating partner organizations.

Ron began his own construction and development business in 1975. He was introduced to OMS in 1977 by a Christian businessman involved with OMS, and he became heavily involved in the Men for Missions work crusade program as the national work crusade coordinator from 1978 to 1984. In 2003, after CoMission, God’s call became evident to Ron, and he became the director of development with Every Community for Christ (ECC), the worldwide evangelism and church planting ministry of OMS. Patty shared in those development efforts as co-director. In 2006, Ron accepted the role of vice president of development for all of OMS. Patty assumed the director of development position for ECC until a suitable replacement was found. She now works for ECC and with Ron in this challenging position of raising God’s resources in order to see lives changed.

Ron and Patty’s work helps accomplish the OMS mission statement, “By God’s grace, OMS International exists to establish responsible, reproducing, Christ-centered churches among the nations.” They see their role as challenging individuals, businesses, churches and foundations to respond to biblical stewardship. In accomplishing this, changed lives involved in His churches around the world will build His kingdom.
