Colleen FitchSpanish Ministries

Colleen Fitch served in Madrid, Spain, with OMS International from 1986-1998. She taught in various OMS seminaries, served as the director of Christian education in the Evangelical Tabernacle, and was a member of the team that planted the Chamartìn Church on the north side of Madrid. She was involved in evangelism, women’s ministries, discipleship, Christian education and training of church leadership.

Colleen has a B.A. from Asbury College and an M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary. She is currently finishing an M.A. in Biblical Studies at Asbury Theological Seminary.

Colleen serves as the minister of children and families at the Sicklerville United Methodist Church in south New Jersey. She gives leadership to a team of 12 children’s ministries and is working with the church to develop a program to meet the needs of today’s families. From 2001-2004 she served as the director of Christian education at Zarephath Community Chapel, a multi-ethnic church located in central New Jersey. She developed curriculum for a multi-age worship service for children, directed the praise team, served as mentor for the youth ministry team and led and developed the small group program in the church. She has taught in the departments of Christian ministry at Asbury Theological Seminary, Asbury College and Somerset Christian College. She is a violinist and church musician.

Colleen has served OMS stateside as the Spanish curriculum resources coordinator, seeking to develop teaching resources for churches and encouraging the communication and sharing of ideas between the Spanish-speaking fields. She has led groups to Ecuador and Spain, and traveled to Londrina and Campo Grande, Brazil, in November 2003 to teach. She represents OMS in area churches and has participated in the OMS Student Break-Away conference in eastern Pennsylvania.

Colleen has three daughters: Emily, Mary and Katherine.
