Andrew and Sveta fill vital positions in the New Zealand OMS office. Andrew is involved in the financial and logistical areas, providing crucial support of overseas missionaries. He also puts together the monthly OMS NZ newsletter called “Into the Harvest.” Andrew is also the NZ team coordinator.

Sveta works at the office part time, assisting with general office duties, including weekly prayer sheets, missionary prayer letters, donor database updates and filing.

Training & Past Ministry

Andrew
Andrew is a New Zealander with a bachelor’s degree in computer & information systems. Prior to becoming an OMS missionary, he was employed by the National Bank as a business analyst.

He first went to Russia in 1996 as part of a CoMission team. CoMission was made up of more than 80 missionary organizations, working together, sharing resources and personnel to introduce a ‘Christian Ethics and Morality Curriculum’ to Russian school teachers. In the summer of 1998, Andrew moved to Moscow to take on the role of field bookkeeper for OMS International.

Sveta
Sveta is a Russian with a master’s degree in English and Russian languages. Prior to becoming an OMS missionary, she had been interpreting for foreign missionaries since 1992. In the summer of 1999, she started working as the OMS office secretary in Moscow.

Together
While working in the OMS office in Moscow, Andrew met Sveta. They were married in September 2001. In August 2003, they moved to New Zealand to minister in the OMS NZ office. Jasmine was born March 18, 2004.

Needs

Andrew and Sveta need prayer and financial partners to continue their ministry at the OMS NZ office.
