A Testimony of God's Work in Latin America

“El Charro” was a tough guy. He frequently used physical power and threats to intimidate others. He was often in trouble with the law and soon became an alcoholic.

When an OMS Every Community for Christ (ECC) team entered the bar where he was drinking to invite people to see the Jesus film, El Charro tore up the invitation and spat on the floor. He and his buddies made plans to disrupt the showing. But moved by scenes of the crucifixion, El Charro told his friends to shut up and listen. At the invitation, he went forward to receive Christ, as did 34 others.

The next day, a local pastor visited El Charro for discipleship. Soon, his whole family trusted Christ and started a new worship group in a home. Now, El Charro is working in other areas to start new home fellowships. His transformed life continues to impact this Caribbean nation for Christ today.
