Future Plans for Hong Kong

In December 2007, International Christian School will move into a new facility. The Hong Kong government leased a plot of ground to the school and paid for about half of the construction cost.

While the Hong Kong Evangelical Church (HKEC) is self-governing and sustaining, there are still ways that OMS can help if personnel is available. Requests for English classes are currently being turned down, as we do not have enough missionaries to meet these needs.

Through the fund raising efforts of OMS and the local board of United Wesleyan Graduate Institute, a new facility for the growing seminary is desperately needed. The programs need to be strengthened, and an adequate library needs to be provided.

At Faith Fellowship, a church founded by OMS to minister to Filipino domestic workers, we desire to make it into an international church, ministering to other minority groups in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a melting pot of different cultures and people groups.
