Future Plans for Brazil

A Church in Every State

OMS missionaries and the Missionary Church (the OMS-founded denomination in Brazil) both desire to work more closely in partnership in the future. The Missionary Church has a goal to plant churches in all of Brazil’s 26 states. Most of the work is currently in the southern half of the country, but with the help of Every Community for Christ (ECC) resources, the churches are growing and multiplying. OMS hopes to reach every state. ECC teams will play an important role in this growth.

Seminary Training Through Distance-learning

Missionary Church leaders have requested that the Londrina Bible Seminary multiply its ability to train pastors through a special distance-learning course. A growing number of potential pastors and leaders, who otherwise could not study, will be able to receive training for ministry through this course. A large percentage of the seminary graduates are now pastors, and several more are serving as missionaries both in Brazil and around the world. The potential to train even more future leaders in Brazil through distance-learning is exciting.
